Dr. George Stoupakis is a board-certified interventional cardiologist and founder of Metropolitan Cardiovascular Consultants LLC, where he provides comprehensive, patient-centered cardiovascular care with a focus on prevention, precision, and long-term health. With more than two decades of clinical experience, Dr. Stoupakis combines advanced cardiovascular science with thoughtful, individualized care. He specializes in the diagnosis and treatment of coronary artery disease, structural heart disease, and complex cardiovascular conditions, while emphasizing preventive cardiology and long-term risk reduction. Dr. Stoupakis completed his cardiology fellowship at New Jersey Medical School and his interventional cardiology training at North Shore–Long Island Jewish Health System, where he developed extensive expertise in complex coronary interventions and advanced cardiovascular procedures. In 2008, Dr. Stoupakis founded his own independent cardiology practice, guided by a vision to deliver high-quality, personalized care while associated with a large hospital system. His physician-led model allows patients to benefit from direct access, continuity of care, and medical decision-making focused exclusively on patient outcomes.

Dr. Stoupakis has been recognized multiple times as a Castle Connolly Top Doctor and a Bergen County Top Doctor, distinctions that reflect peer recognition for clinical excellence, professionalism, and patient care. In addition to his medical training, Dr. Stoupakis earned an MBA from Columbia Business School, providing him with a sophisticated understanding of healthcare systems, innovation, and practice leadership. This background supports his ability to integrate advanced technologies, evidence-based therapies, and efficient care models while preserving the integrity of the physician–patient relationship. Dr. Stoupakis serves as a Core Assistant Professor of Cardiology at Hackensack Meridian School of Medicine, where he contributes to the education and mentorship of future physicians. He has authored numerous peer-reviewed journal articles, reflecting his ongoing commitment to academic medicine and evidence-based practice. He is a Fellow of the American College of Cardiology and remains actively engaged in continuing medical education to stay at the forefront of advances in cardiovascular medicine. Of Greek heritage, with family roots in Chios, Greece, Dr. Stoupakis brings a lifelong appreciation for holistic health, longevity, and preventive living to his clinical philosophy.
